Kindness for Christmas 2026 – Application

That Girl’s Got Moxie is once again spreading a little extra kindness this Christmas.

This year, our Kindness for Christmas program is open to Sarnia-Lambton residents who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, or who have completed treatment but are unable to return to work because of cancer or the effects of their treatment.

Approved applicants may request Christmas gifts for themselves and/or up to 5 people who are important to them and have been affected by the financial hardship created by their circumstances.

Please complete one application per household.

Submitting an application does not guarantee that your application or every requested wish will be approved or fulfilled. All applications are subject to review.

Please tell us briefly how your cancer/treatment has affected you and your household financially this year.

You do not need to provide detailed medical information. We simply want to understand your circumstances and how this program could help your household this Christmas.

SECTION 3 — WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO INCLUDE?

You may request gifts for up to 5 people on this application. These may include yourself, children, a spouse/partner, immediate family members, a caregiver, or—in special circumstances—another person who has been particularly important or supportive during your cancer journey. Important If you would like to include someone who is not an immediate family member, spouse/partner, child, or caregiver, please explain why this person is important to you and why you would like them included. For example, perhaps a neighbour has regularly helped with yard work, provided transportation, brought meals, helped with childcare, or supported you throughout treatment. If you would like TGGM to consider more than 5 people, please contact us by email after submitting your application and explain the circumstances. Extenuating circumstances will be considered individually.

SECTION 4 — A LITTLE EXTRA CHRISTMAS KINDNESS

Christmas Dinner Grocery Support As part of Kindness for Christmas, That Girl’s Got Moxie may also provide an additional grocery gift card to approved households to help with the cost of a Christmas dinner. This grocery gift card is separate from the $100-per-person Christmas gift allowance. Grocery gift card amount: TO BE DETERMINED This support is intended to help ease some of the additional financial pressure that can come with the holiday season. The grocery gift card amount and availability are subject to the program's available funding.
